A4 printing companion
Measure the sheet.
Check the alignment.
Plan a label grid from your own measurements, then test it on plain paper before using your adhesive sheets.
Label counts alone do not identify a manufacturer's template. The starting dimensions are illustrative. Check the product code and measure the actual sheet, including margins and gaps. All measurements below are in millimetres on A4 portrait paper: 210 × 297 mm.

A reliable alignment check
- Find the sheet's product code and the intended printer type. Check the packaging and your printer's instructions before feeding adhesive stock.
- Measure from the paper edge to the first label. Enter the label width, height and the empty space between adjacent labels.
- Print the test on plain A4 paper at 100% or actual size. Turn off fit-to-page scaling and browser headers and footers.
- Hold the print against an unused label sheet with a light behind it. Check the top, middle and bottom rows and both sides.
- If the entire grid is shifted, check the margins and paper feed. If the error grows across the sheet, check label sizes, gaps and print scaling.
- Use a single sheet to confirm the final settings before a longer run. Keep a note of the product code, printer, tray, paper orientation and measured settings.
Choose the format for the task
A few large labels suit notices and broad identifiers. More labels on a sheet suit smaller containers and short codes, but leave less room for readable text. Test the real wording, contrast and viewing distance as well as the grid.
Explore the label format guides for practical uses of 1, 8, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24 and 65 labels per sheet. The tool stores no entries and sends no measurements to the server.
